RED Helium

The RED Weapon 8K Helium is equipped with a native 8K Super 35mm CMOS sensor, offering an impressive resolution of 8192 x 4320 pixels. This sensor size and resolution combination result in 35.4 megapixels, enabling filmmakers to capture incredibly detailed images suitable for high-end productions. The camera boasts a dynamic range of over 16.5 stops, ensuring exceptional performance in capturing both shadow details and highlights with minimal noise.

For video recording, the Helium supports recording in REDCODE RAW format, which preserves the highest level of image fidelity and provides extensive flexibility in post-production color grading and manipulation. It also supports various compression ratios to balance between image quality and storage efficiency.

In terms of frame rates, the camera can shoot up to 60 frames per second at full 8K resolution, allowing for smooth motion and cinematic footage. At lower resolutions, such as 2K, it can achieve impressive frame rates of up to 300 fps, ideal for capturing high-speed action or achieving creative slow-motion effects.

The camera uses Red Mini-Mag solid-state drives for media storage, offering fast data transfer speeds and reliable performance in demanding shooting conditions. It features multiple connectivity options including HDMI 2.0 and 3G-SDI ports, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of professional monitors and external recording devices.
